PC save-file locations and backup steps

Close the game and its launcher before making a backup. Copy the complete save folder and leave the original in place.

Steam

The default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<STEAM-USER-ID>\3669870\. If Steam is installed elsewhere, use that Steam installation's userdata folder.

Open the numbered folder for the account you use to play. If there are several numbered folders, look for the one containing the game's 3669870 folder.

Epic Games Store

Press Windows + R and enter %LocalAppData%\Remedy\CONTROLResonant. Open the folder named for the Epic account that owns your save.

The full store-specific path is %LocalAppData%\Remedy\CONTROLResonant\<EPIC-USER-ID>\.

Prepare a backup or support attachment

  1. Wait for active cloud synchronization to finish, then close the game and launcher.
  2. Copy the complete account-specific save folder to another location.
  3. Keep filenames and folder structure intact.
  4. If support asks for the folder, compress the copy into a ZIP and attach it to the official ticket.

Keep storefronts and accounts distinct

Do not assume a save can be moved between Steam and Epic. Confirm a supported transfer method with official support before attempting it.

This website does not accept save uploads. Send a requested backup only through the official Remedy support channel.
